There are so many different sign types. Vinyl signs, Magnetic signs, Wood Signs, Light Box Signs, A-Frame Signs, Yard Signs, Political Signs, and so much more. Digital print or cut vinyl? At The Sign Shop we can do it all. If you are not sure what you are looking for, we can help you choose.
SIGN STYLE & TYPE - Will you need Cut Vinyl Lettering or Digital Print? It will depend on your design.
Cut Vinyl Lettering works best for signs with text only or simple graphics & logos with only a couple of colors. Solid colored rolls of pressure sensitive "sticky" vinyl is cut into shapes using a computer and a vinyl plotter. The excess is removed (such as the inside parts of letters "B" and "O") and then the decals are applied to the substrate.
With Digital Print, the sky is the limit when it comes to design. You can use pictures, gradients and multiple colors because ink is layed down on white vinyl and then that vinyl is applied to the substrate. These prints are weather resistant but will eventually fade after a few years. To increase the life expectancy of a digital print it should be laminated to reduce the effects of UV rays and abrasions. Lamination is a clear protectant layer that goes on top of the print. We strongly recommend this important step to protect your vinyl digital print. In the case of digital print banners, the ink is applied directly to the banner material and lamination is not required.
SUBSTRATES - The substrate is what the lettering or print is being applied to. Aluminum composite, MDO wood, Corrugated plastic, Expanded PVC plastic, Banner material and Magnetic material are all common substrates.

Use them as Real Estate signs, directional signs, and more. View more of our A-Frame signs by clicking here. COROPLAST SIGNS Also called Political Signs, Lawn Signs, Corex Signs, Sponsor Signs and Corrugated Plastic Signs, these signs can be used for more than just the yard. Made from corrugated plastic, Coroplast signs are economical and come in several colors. They can be screen printed, or for smaller runs, cut vinyl lettering or digital vinyl work best. Corrugated plastic is recommended for indoor or short-term outdoor use. ALUMINUM SIGNS One of our most popular substrates, aluminum signs are economical and easy to hang. Most parking signs and directional signs are made with aluminum. For most applications, .040 is just fine, but if your sign is very large or will be mounted on a post we recommend using the thicker .080. ALUMINUM COMPOSITE SIGNS Aluminum composite is a very popular, as it is more rigid and often less expensive than Aluminum. We can apply cut vinyl or digital print to your substrate. Laminated digital print is shown.
